As Founder's Day falls on Valentines day, we are taking the opportunity to highlight those students who found their true love in agriculture.
Matt Blackburn and Stacey Pynch (Class of 2001) met at Chevy’s when Stacey’s roommate Rhonda MacPherson (now Martell) went out dancing. They had seen the guys (Matt and Erik Martell) at the pub before we went to Chevy’s but didn’t know them. Rhonda and Erik were in the same Art class.Ìý
Both couples were married a month apart. Matt and Stacey were married Saturday, October 11th, 2003 at Acadia Chapel in Wolfville. Rhonda was one of Stacey’s bridesmaids and Erik was Matt’s best man.Ìý
Best love advice?Ìý Take the time to learn to communicate when things are difficult. There are no marriages that aren’t tested by difficulties so the better you will deal with adversity and communicate the more you will be able to grow through those times together and have a happy marriage.Ìý
Favourite spot on campus:Ìý The Barn!Ìý
Matt and Stacey renewed their vows this past fall with their children Addie (14) and Paxton (13). They are currently living in Sydney, Cape Breton.Ìý
