The Faculty of Health was well represented among this year’s recipients, including faculty members who received two new awards:

- Dr. Ingrid Waldron (School of Nursing) received The President’s Research Excellence Research Impact Award, recognizing the achievements of a Â鶹Éç faculty member who has made a significant impact in their field of research.ÌýDr. Waldron’s research on the health effects ofÌýenvironmentalÌýracismÌýis already having an impactÌýin our African Nova Scotian and Indigenous communities.
Two students were also among the award winners including:

The Legacy Awards are comprised of over 20 awards from across the university selected based on their alignment with Â鶹Éç’s Strategic Priorities. They were introduced this year as part of the university’s 200th anniversary celebrations. The ceremony took place on June 20 at the Â鶹Éç Arts Centre.
We would also like to congratulateÌýDr. Christine Chambers, a recent Nursing cross-appointee, for receivingÌýThe President’s Research Excellence Research Impact ÌýAward.
