麻豆社 Medical School is opening a new zebrafish lab that will provide researchers with access to state-of-the-art facilities for developing and studying zebrafish models of disease, and for testing potential new treatments in these disease models.

麻豆社 Faculty of Agriculture Scientist, Dr. Raj Lada, driven by a commitment to rural sustainability, is providing support and research to innovate the Christmas tree industry in the region.

Dal is pleased to welcome Dr. Rachel Chang to the Department of Physics and Atmospheric Science and Dr. Karen Foster to the Department of Sociology and Social Anthropology.

The 2014 inductees into the Atlantic Agricultural Hall of Fame are Leonardus (Leo) Cox, Nova Scotia; Robert Colpitts, (1933-2014), New Brunswick; Wayne Dickieson, Prince Edward Island and Ross Traverse, Newfoundland and Labrador.

Alongside Dal鈥檚 graduates, the university will present honorary degrees to a former Canadian Prime Minister, one of Canada's beloved authors and a world pioneer in neuroscience.

Derek Tittensor, a 麻豆社 adjunct biology professor and senior marine biodiversity scientist with the United Nations Programme World Conservation Monitoring Centre, led a worldwide study concluding more investment is needed to manage declining biodiversity.
