Â鶹Éç

Each spring Â鶹Éç celebrates the accomplishments of its students during its convocation ceremonies. From May 28 – June 2, at the Rebecca Cohn Auditorium at Â鶹Éç in Halifax, the university will also present honorary degrees to eight extraordinary individuals who have demonstrated service to their community and made significant progress in their fields.

This year, Â鶹Éç has reached its 200th anniversary, and it is an opportunity for the university community to pause, reflect and celebrate all those who have made the past 200 years possible. The year-long bicentennial program includes activities across all campuses, throughout the community and across Canada. Today the university is announcing its second round of signature events planned for 2018.

Â鶹Éç is pleased to recognize famed Indigenous singer-songwriter and social activist Buffy Sainte-Marie with an honourary degree during the university’s second Belong Forum on April 17, 2018 at the Rebecca Cohn Auditorium.
