At the DALVision 2020 Senate Forum in November, more than 300 students, faculty and staff came out and shared their ideas for the future of undergraduate education.
The , sharing the ideas generated around four common themes. These themes were:
- Enhanced interaction between students and faculty and among students.
- Increased flexibility in program design and delivery, including enchanced opportunities for inter-disciplinary study.
- More opportunities for experiential learning.
- Enhanced engagement of faculty and students in the learning and teaching process.
Next, we鈥檙e looking to flesh out these ideas. In the months ahead, the DALVision / Academic Innovation initiative will be hosting consultations in Faculties and other venues. These consultations will help us all to consider which of these ideas should be more fully developed at this time and what we are already doing that supports these themes. There will also be further opportunities for students to contribute their suggestions.
