A new Phase 1 clinical trial in Halifax is looking for participants to help test a new mRNA flu vaccine to determine safety and how well it works. An mRNA vaccine could help us develop vaccines for new strains of flu more quickly.
You can participate in the study if you are healthy and between the ages 18 and 45.
What does participation involve?
After a screening visit at the clinic, you will receive either the mRNA candidate vaccine or a Health Canada-approved flu shot. You will be asked to come to the clinic for additional planned visits and be available for at least 1 planned contact (phone calls or email).
Participants will be able to receive this year's flu shot, if they choose to, after their participation in the study is complete.
