"My placement at the QEII felt straight out of a reality TV show, with every day bringing a new plot twist. One minute, we were calmly doing a stair assessment, and the next, a patient fractured her hip, forcing the physio team to quickly figure out how to get her down safely without making things worse. We had not one but two Code Silver incidents involving a person with a weapon and even a Code Yellow when a patient decided to make a break for it. It was non-stop action, and no two days ever looked the same. Somewhere amidst all the chaos, I also managed to shadow a Modified Barium Swallow study, which gave me a huge appreciation for the quieter but equally critical side of acute care. As wild as it was, I am incredibly grateful for this experience. It pushed me out of my comfort zone, taught me to stay calm under pressure, and showed me what it really means to be part of a fast-paced healthcare team." ~Mayar Tahoun, 2nd year 聽
